A decorative candle for some, but for me this design represents the completion of a cycle and the transition into something, or someone, new.

When I chose this particular skull, I was drawn to its contrasts. The flowers soften what many see as a symbol of finality, revealing the potential for beauty, wisdom, and growth hidden within change itself.

This candle honors the lessons, experiences, and identities that carried us through seasons of life that have come to an end. Not as something to reject, but as something to recognize with gratitude. Every chapter leaves behind treasures: moments of joy, unexpected growth, hard-earned wisdom, and reminders of who we were becoming all along.

As I hand-detail each candle and highlight its floral features, I find myself thinking about those treasures. The lessons we keep. The burdens we release. The parts of ourselves that deserve both gratitude and forgiveness.

To me, this piece serves as a reminder that endings and beginnings are often the very same moment.
